Samsung’s mobile AI platform, Galaxy AI, has taken another significant step in its strategy to expand its global reach. Since its launch in early 2024, Galaxy AI has been steadily adding new languages, and now offers Filipino and Gujarati.

These two new languages are now available for download as language packs from the Settings app. The language additions demonstrate Samsung’s commitment to local languages globally. Filipino is spoken by approximately 87 million people, while Gujarati is spoken by approximately 62.5 million.

With these additions, the number of languages supported by Galaxy AI has increased to 22. Samsung states that these languages are spoken by 5.9 billion people, representing approximately 74% of the world’s population. The development of these languages was carried out in collaboration with Samsung Research centers in Indonesia and India.

Samsung shared striking statistics demonstrating the rapid adoption of mobile AI among users. More than 70% of Galaxy S25 owners regularly use Galaxy AI and Google Gemini tools. 47% of users say they rely “a great deal” on AI in their daily lives.

The company surpassed its milestone by reaching 200 million devices by the end of 2024. Samsung’s goal for the end of this year is to increase the number of devices supporting Galaxy AI to over 400 million. This expansion demonstrates that mobile AI technology will not be limited to flagship phones but will reach a much broader audience.
